June is Men’s Health Month, a Congressional program intended to promote awareness about preventable diseases prominent in men, including prostate cancer, heart disease and diabetes. During June, cities across the United States are encouraging men to recognize warning signs for such diseases and get regular checkups as well as lead healthier, more active lifestyles. As Father’s Day approaches, encourage the dads and men in your life to consider the consequences of neglecting their health. Get involved with Men’s Health Month by attending a local event, free screening or seminar to learn how you can improve your lifestyle this June and beyond. Check out some of the events below and see if any are in your area.
