My passion for fitness and wellness was kindled in high school athletics where I participated in football, powerlifting, track and field as well as a comprehensive offseason strength and conditioning regime. It was then that I discovered what miraculous machines our bodies are and what magnificent things we are capable of. It was from that moment on I knew I wanted to pursue a career in helping others make their fitness dreams come true.
I became a certified fitness instructor soon after high school and began working in my local gym. While there I helped numerous clients spanning across multiple demographics achieve their health and wellness goals, yet I found myself wanting to further my education and become the best trainer I could possible be.
This drove me to attended Texas State University where I obtained my BS in Exercise and Sports Science. In an effort to extend my knowledge even further I am currently studying to become a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association, which is the highest standard of personal training certification available to date. I am also fulfilling my dreams of being a competitor in the Mens Physique Division of the National Physique Committee.
Fitness is my most sincere passion and I take my profession very serious. I am constantly trying to better myself and chase my dreams, and it is my goal in life to help as many people as I can fulfill their dreams along the way. I take the time to get to know your needs and fitness goals personally and tailor fit the correct program to ensure it is an overall fun and fulfilling experience that results in not only achieving short term goals, but ultimately leads to a lifestyle change that promises many more healthy and happy years to come. I have had multiple success stories, but the one I take the most pride in involved a 36 y/o male army veteran who approached me in the gym one day desperate for advice. He was unhappy with his current health status and was beginning to feel hopeless because he had tried every diet he could find in a magazine and every workout routine he could find online and nothing was working. I took the time to sit down and discuss what exactly it was that he wanted to achieve. Taking this information into consideration, as well as performing an Initial fitness assessment, I developed a scientifically backed program that incorporated diet suggestions, training regimes that would specifically target his goals, and lifestyle change suggestions outside the gym that would assist him reach his goals. He began the program at 236 lbs, 32 percent body fat, a 43″ waist, and a max bench press of 155 lbs. After working with him three times a week over 12 weeks he saw vast improvements. His fat percentage d
ropped down to 14 percent, his waist dropped to 36 inches, and his max bench press sky rocketed to 230 lbs. All this while only dropping 7 lbstotal, which is indicative of burning fat and gaining muscle simultaneously. He had literally transformed his entire body, and his life, in less than three months time.
